The story of Wicked is ultimately about perception, power, and the way history is shaped by those who control the narrative. In the current U.S. political climate, Donald Trump and Kamala Harris can be compared to Elphaba and Glinda—not necessarily in their personal values, but in how they are treated by the political establishment and media. Trump, like Elphaba, is vilified despite believing he is fighting against corruption, while Harris, like Glinda, benefits from an existing system that rewards compliance and optics over true challenges to power.
