Hey, I’m Jacob — but around here, you can just call me Jake.

Jake’s Take is where my thoughts meet technology. It’s where bold opinions, cultural deep-dives, and political provocations get shaped, sharpened, and delivered with a little help from AI. Think of it as brain meets machine — but make it personal.

I studied Journalism and Atmospheric Sciences at Lyndon State College, where I learned to respect facts, follow the storm, and question everything. Now, I apply that same mindset to the headlines, trends, and topics that define our world today.

But the story doesn’t start or end there.

I grew up in upstate New York living two lives: part hillbilly, part city slicker. I spent weekends hunting, camping, and riding four-wheelers through the mud — and weekdays working at a country club, serving drinks and booking tee times. I learned to gut a deer and polish a wine glass before I was old enough to vote. That duality shaped how I see the world — and gave me a voice that doesn’t fit into anyone’s box.

After college, I worked in mountain towns, managing events, building experiences, and solving chaos behind the scenes. When the pandemic hit, I moved to Jersey City chasing opportunity. I lost a job, found another, and eventually made my way into the heart of NYC — where I live now. From suburbia to the rural backwoods to the biggest city in the country, I’ve lived it all — and that perspective shows up in everything I write.

Jake’s Take is where I return to my roots: writing, storytelling, and challenging the narrative. Everything you read here starts with me — my experiences, my questions, my voice. AI is just the co-pilot, helping me say things louder, sharper, and sometimes braver.

If you're looking for filtered, watered-down content… you’re in the wrong place.

Welcome to Jake’s Take. Let’s shake things up.
